Many employers say they would like to recruit more disabled people but do not get the applicants whereas may disabled jobseekers say there is not much point in apply for positions because their applications aren't taken seriously.

The disabled workers  eJobs Portal bridges this gap. Employers know they are targeting their recruitment at qualified disabled people who are looking for work and disabled jobseekers know that the vacancies have been posted by employers who will take their applications seriously.

Why we are making this offer
By having more vacancies on our website we will be more attractive to grant giving trusts from who we receive the bulk of our funding. You will benefit from opening up your recruitment to more potential applicants, so you can see taking up this offer is a win, win situation.

If you wish to take advantage of this offer you will need to register as an employer here: http://www.disabledworkers. org.uk/careers/employers/default.asp. You will then receive an automated Email with your password. (The password is case sensitive, so it is recommended that you use copy and paste to login for the first time. You can change the password to something more memorable after you have logged in for the first time).

After you have logged in the Employers home you can post a general vacancy including the link to your own recruitment page. If you then contact neil@disabledworkers.org.uk requesting to take advantage of this offer, we will make sure your advert is approved for you thus saving you the trouble of posting individual adverts.

Of course if you don't wish to take advantage of this off you are still welcome to use our FREE advertising for promoting individual vacancies for 30 days.

The Disabled Workers Co-operative is an extremely cost effective organisation that is doing a huge job. Being Internet based the work is done without expensive offices or many staff, and yet our website attracts over 70,000 visits a month, which more than anything illustrates the demand and importance of the services we are offering. However, despite being the only project of this type, and despite fulfilling many of the Governments and EU objectives on disability and employment, our project remains underfunded. We believe the work we do is worthwhile as do the many disabled people we have helped to find work. As Jim Murphy the former Minister of State for Employment and Welfare Reform put it ‘Employment is the only way out of poverty’.
