Description :
We are seeking a committed and eager individual with experience of working in a library or similar environment to join the University of Bath Library’s E-Resources and Periodicals team. This is a part-time, permanent position, working 18.25 hours per week, Wednesday afternoons to Fridays, though some flexibility may be possible.
About the role
You’ll help to administer our growing collection of over 27,000 subscriptions to online/printed journals and databases, supporting the needs of students and staff undertaking research and teaching at the University.
Key tasks include ordering new material, activating and making resources available to users, troubleshooting access problems, collecting data to inform purchasing decisions and record keeping.
Whilst based in the E-Resources team, you will also offer support to other teams involved in the broader acquisition and processing of library material.
About you:
The successful applicant will join a dedicated, professional team of Library staff committed to the continual development of services to support the University’s strategy: to deliver world-class research and teaching, extend the University’s international influence, and enrich the student experience. We understand the importance of continued professional development for all Library staff in order to achieve this, and provide programmes of local opportunities, and support involvement in appropriate external activities.
You will possess excellent customer service skills, and be able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team operating in a busy Library environment.
