Amnesty's aim is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied. Supported by over a million activists worldwide, and over 200,000 members in the UK, we campaign against issues such as uncontrolled arms trading, the death penalty, violence against women, torture and detention without trial and poverty. Amnesty International’s UK section has over 180 staff based in four offices, and many more volunteers in both our offices and six bookshops.
MASCOT is a major new database system that we are implementing, which will enable us to store information on all of our members, donors, activists, groups and other contacts in one place. We are now looking for two Programme Officers to work in a small, busy team headed by the Programme Manager. Playing a key role in migrating existing data and business processes to the new system, these posts will make an important contribution to our human rights work.
You will work closely with end-users and other stakeholders, mapping business needs and existing information to MASCOT, loading data, configuring the system, and developing reports. You will also facilitate system testing, develop user manuals and train end-users.
If you are highly IT and data-literate, have experience of working with large, complex database systems, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can deliver to tight deadlines, then we’d like to hear from you.
