I know the Green card was discontinued in replacement of DDA (I believe) but many disabilities were brought forward with the introduction of the DDA categorized as "disabilities of the past".
Now, to get a Green Card must the person (card holder) be IN employment or or not?
Also, is there any way of been able to see the contract of employment, where the employee was employed through the Disability Persons Act?
I ask these because my dad recently got sacked from D.W.P for sickness due to medical operations, major hearing loss (due to his department neglecting him on telephony), Bicuspid Aortic Valve defects (entitled him to DPA) along with others. He is taking legal proceedings but the D.W.P say they have no record of him been a Disabled person through-out his career. But surely, if he had a Green Card 1990-1995, which is stamped by the JobCentre as mandatory whilst his was working for the JobCentre, then that surely means that they knew about his condition. Right?
Any advice would be hugely beneficial. He is too sick to put a case forward himself so we, as a family are trying to build a case to take to tribunal. Thanks
