Posted - 18/03/2010 : 01:20:15 I am thinking of going self employed doing permitted work. Lower permitted work at first. Are you judged on your net income and can I take off expenses. I sell plants. So water for example would be one expense. Can any one help me ?

Posted - 02/11/2010 : 08:05:26 The last time I did this the expenses i was allowed while working for a charity was £1.95 for a cut of tea they then allowed me to have a bun to add to it.
The simple way is to ask the DWP get it from the horses mouth keep the letter for referral.
But believe me these days you must be very careful I know of people who have been doing car boots sales on a Sunday who have been deemed working and making profits.
