Would I be classed as being disabled. I had a severe accident in September smashed both sides to the ankle. plates an screws where fitted. Still ongoing at the hospital and physio every week. My walking now has been limited to one hour a day as any longer causes extreme pain and swelling. After seeeing a limb specialist last week I have now got to wear special insoles and shoes due to the way the foot has gone. Been again today to the hospital after xrays where carried out, to be told the bone accross the front of the foot showing with severe ostio arthritis, hence why it is so difficult for me to walk.

Can you please advise where to go from here ????Thanks Tracy

Do you have a disability well yes you do without doubt, three years ago you would have had a medical and been placed onto one of a number of benefits, these days it's all changed you may well have a disability but they now look at whether you can work, be this sitting down, or using a wheelchair.

Your first port of call is you GP, then the CAB.
